About the Name
Simurgh is a large bird, which, according to ancient Iranian mythology, lives on Mount Ghaf. It is also called the bird of paradise. The image of the Simurgh bird can also be found in Azerbaijani fairy tales. According to legends, this bird gives some of its feathers to relatives and the poor so that if necessary, they can burn the feather and call her for help. In Azerbaijani mythology, this bird symbolizes goodness, new life and rebirth.
