About the Name
Millions of years ago, the mighty mountain giant Kepez and the cold, clear Aghsu River coexisted side by side in Azerbaijan. One day, a powerful earthquake caused part of the mountain to collapse into the Aghsu gorge, forming 19 lakes. Among them, the "Blue Lake" Göygöl stands out as a true gem with its exceptional beauty.
Göygöl has its own "birthday" — September 17, 1138, the day the earthquake reshaped the landscape by damming the river's gorge. Today, this area is a protected nature reserve.
Using the name "Göy-Göl" emphasizes the high quality, purity, and natural origin of the product. Much like the famous Göygöl Lake, known for its stunning beauty and uniqueness, the product bearing this name possesses exceptional characteristics.
